Oh how the www.orld went wild at Apple's announcement of a new, fandangled operating system for the Apple iPhone. However, celebrations soon morphed to howls of dismay as users began to experience problems - something most have never experienced before with Apple products.
Firstly, the upgrade process was akin to masturbating with a cheese-grater (slightly amusing, but mostly painful). Most of us dutifully took a backup of our devices prior to upgrading the OS... While this initially felt redundant, due to Apple's history of delivering tested and problem-free products to the market, it soon paid dividends:
Many 3Gs owners, myself included, experienced an "Unknown Error" moments after initialising the upgrade process. The end result: the iPhone hanging in "recovery mode", requiring a restore to factory default settings (a process which also applied the iOS4 upgrade as part of the package) and then the (painfully) long restoration from your most recent backup to get your photos, apps, contacts, music, mail accounts and the like back on the device.
The good news is that this workflow produced no further errors for most and it was not long before we could start to navigate and experience the updated OS, the added value and the issues that came with it. (Nothing in life is free).

Apple have just released information on their upcoming iPhone: the iPhone 4.
Personally, I'd like to spew forth a great big "thank you" to Gizmodo for stealing the jam out of my doughnut and releasing all the features, look and feel of the device in April. Naturally, that "thank you" was sarcastic. I am no-where near as awed as I would normally be by the schmick-arse Apple advertising campaign. My only consolation, Gizmodo, is that Apple is likely to burn you and your company into the ground. (I am likely to get naked beside THAT camp fire).
Nonetheless, if you were lucky enough to miss Gizmodo's spoiler party, you can view the Apple marketing wizardry at the bottom of this article (including full feature specs).
"Pfft... new phone.. bullshit" I hear you say... well.. that probably means that you, like me, already have an iPhone... you probably weren't an early adopter and you probably waited for the release of the 3Gs to get on-board the iPhone bandwagon.... Well, then the great news is this: Apple is releasing a new feature-rich OS for iPhone 4 that 3Gs owners can download, install and use on their devices too!
If you have a eBoner, or a technological full-blood, then you are not alone. This article is only so short because it is growing increasingly difficult to balance my keyboard on my lap right now.

Do you publish your every waking thought and idea on facebook? Do you publish up photos and antics from the weekend?
Current research is indicating that Gen Y are embracing social networking sites and associated functionality to the point they are effectively creating a "digital tattoo" that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Stories of individuals losing their jobs due to Facebook sharing stuff-ups are on an ever increasing rise.
